Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Wednesday 24th July

Reading: Psalm 133:1-3
1 How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
    running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.

Thought for Reflection:
I’m writing this towards the end of a very hot week. This week I have been repeatedly reminded of the restorative powers of water – as have my sunflowers which have looked somewhat wilted from time to time! Water remains vital for life, the nightly dew on Hermon essential for any plant life to survive there. Living harmoniously is just as precious and to be treasured and nutured.

Prayer:
Father, head of our family, help us to value and see each other as you do.
