Psalm 63:6-8 (12.09.17)

Psalm 63:6-8
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.

Prayer is an act of faith born out of experience.
Prayer is a belief that in the darkness of the night, we are in the light of God.
Prayer says that when it is dark, God’s wings are covering us.
Prayer says I will cling to God, desperately holding on in doubt or in suffering.
Prayer says it is not us that cling to God, but God who upholds me.

Today Lord, I believe you are there.
