[3] (John the Baptist)….This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”
Get ready……how exciting it is to be having an important visitor! Whether it is a town expecting a visit from the Queen, a business with an appointment for the bank manager or a family awaiting a favourite Aunt, preparations are very important! Do not be distracted or the time will come and we will not be ready!
John’s mission was to prepare people to meet Jesus, the King of Kings, God come among us, and nothing could distract him from that. We have a similar, wonderful message – Jesus makes a difference today and we can know him!
Lord Jesus, let me prepare today for you to enter the hearts and lives of those I meet and live amongst.
