Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.
Written in 1873 by blind hymn writer Fanny Crosby.

Fanny Crosby wrote over 8,000 hymns in her life, even though she became blind shortly after she was born. She also preached the Gospel.
She said: “It seemed intended by the blessed providence of God that I should be blind all my life, and I thank him for the dispensation. If perfect earthly sight were offered me tomorrow I would not accept it. I might not have sung hymns to the praise of God if I had been distracted by the beautiful and interesting things about me.”
What an amazing lady!

God can do amazing things for us too, whatever the circumstance, if we let Him.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

Father I place into your hands the things I cannot do.
