Psalm 91:3-4 NIV
[3] Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. [4] He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
[5] You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, [6] nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
Do we fear? Here is the promise of God to cover you, to save you and to be your shield and rampart – nice word, rampart – a place of security where you can look out and see the world around. We understand the world around us but know the power of God to save us and those we live meet.
When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
