1 Chronicles 16:14-18 NIV
He is the Lord our God; his judgements are in all the earth. [15] He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations, [16] the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. [17] He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: [18] “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”
We have given ourselves to God because he first gave himself to us, promising that he would make us a renewed people in a restored world with him living among us, a promise which he remains faithful to even when we stray from our part.
Father, help me to live a life of worship in response to your everlasting love.
