There’s a fascinating exploration of a copy of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper owned by the Royal Academy online at the moment, exploring some of the easily overlooked details and symbolism in this masterpiece. I was intrigued by how Da Vinci used exression and props to point at the various disciples activities and roles, and to reveal what their inner thoughts were. Makes me wonder, how would he paint me….
