Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

John 6:35-37 (14.07.20)

John 6.35-37
[35] Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. [36] But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. [37] All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

Do we believe Jesus’ words? “Whoever…”  “Whoever…”  “Whoever…” That includes you, it includes me, it includes all of us who come to him. And whoever comes “will never go hungry”, “will never be thirsty”, and he will “never drive away”. Someone once said ‘never is a very long time’! That is an understatement, and that is how long we are secure for. Those who come, and believe, are assured of his welcome, and he will never change his mind.

Give thanks for Jesus’ clear choices and the certainty they bring us.
