Psalm 121 v. 1-2
A song of ascents.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Often, when in trouble we figuratively look “to the mountains”, searching frantically for a solution. Perhaps in panic the point of desperation quickly reached, it can be almost impossible to find a way through. But, says the psalmist, help is at hand from God the maker of heaven and earth and ruler of all, if we walk with Him daily in his love and not only when things are going horribly wrong.
Father teach me your way. Show me your will for my life and I pray, keep me close to you this week.
