Galatians 3:26-28 NIV
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And here it is, or should I say here He is, the glue that brings us together in all our diversity and tensions. It is Jesus that unites us, overcomes the walls we build between us, the prejudices that stop us from accepting each other. It is in him and through him that the Kingdom stands, he is our cornerstone.
Thank you Jesus for the wonderful, impossible family that you have brought into being, an amazing achievement and gift! Spirit, help us to accept and embrace those that Jesus has welcomed.
