This week we’re looking at Naaman, ‘a great man with a great problem’. In fact his problem is so great that we required an extra day to fit it in – look out for a bonus Saturday reading this week!
Reading: 2 Kings 5:1
[1] Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.
Thought for Reflection: Meet Naaman – a very important man, in an enemy army, who does not know God; although God knows him! He has everything going for him – successful career, caring wife and friendship with the King but he has a dreaded disease that will eventual separate him from society and may kill him. You could think of it like modern society – separation and fear of death undermine a lot of the rest of life! Watch this space!
Prayer: Lord, help me to see the world the way you see it – with love and a plan!
