Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Tuesday 22nd October

Reading: 2 Kings 5:2-3
[2] Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. [3] She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”

Thought for Reflection: Meet a young evangelist! A young girl plucked from her home and country into slavery knows God can do amazing things and is willing to share that with her enemy! (Those doing the Life on the Frontline Course might want to reflect on how her story matches those we’ve been thinking about.) Just a thought – if she believed that God could cure leprosy, do you think she believed he could rescue her from slavery?

Prayer: Lord help me to be ready to share what I know of you with the people I meet today.
