2 Samuel 22:2-3,29-32 NIV
[2] David said: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; [3] my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my saviour……………[29] You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light………….[31] “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. [32] For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?
David found his darkness turned into light as he worshipped the Lord and knew his salvation! As we look forward through Advent we can know the presence of our redeemer, our rock of refuge, our light shining in the darkness – he is with us and he is coming!!!
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness.
