Psalm 145:8-10 NIV
[8] The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. [9] The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. [10] All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
What a good description this is of God! It is about how He relates to us. If we would be followers of God, then our compassion towards others must be obvious. This implies a prohibition on disrespect and writing people off, no matter what the circumstances. Anger and rejection have no place in the Kingdom of God, but love and compassion do.
Father teach us today to love as you love us, so that you might be worshipped and adored and your name through us becomes known in all the world.
