Nehemiah 6:9 NIVUK
They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, ‘Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.’ But I prayed, ‘Now strengthen my hands.’
Nehemiah and his people are facing opposition as they build the walls. Nehemiah’s response, as so often, was to turn to God in prayer. His prayer is as great one for us too whatever work we might be involved in.
Father, strengthen my hands today so my work might be fruitful for you.
