Ephesians 6:5-8 NIV
[5] Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. [6] Obey them not only to win their favour when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. [7] Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, [8] because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
We may not be slaves but this is for all of us!! Serve as if we are serving the Lord….obey as if we are obeying Jesus……do God’s will “from your heart”…- this is living motivated by love not fear or hope of gain. Today we may be doing all sorts of ordinary things or we may be in the middle of wonderful or terrifying projects but here is the key – do everything for the Lord and not for the world. Climb that mountain cheerfully because Jesus climbs alongside you!
Lord, I need You, oh I need You
