Isaiah 40:28-31 (11.04.18)

Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV
[28] Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. [29] He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. [30] Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; [31] but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Those who hope in the Lord……….where does our hope lie? We can look to money, career, society, health and a thousand other things but here is a simple promise – those who hope in the Lord…whose lives are centred on him and who “wait” on him will have new power, strength and excitement! It would be wonderful to share how this verse is worked out in our lives – is it like having a secret power supply? It sounds like it!!!! Let us know how you find it!

Lord, we wait on you – when all other sources are exhausted you still promise and we need you more than anything else.
