Luke 24:13-17 (22.04.19)

Luke 24:13-17 NIVUK
13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognising him.
17 He asked them, ‘What are you discussing together as you walk along?’

It’s not surprising that the events of Easter got everybody talking! It’s a scandalous, ridiculous, hilarious occasion that should catch us all by surprise and get us thinking. I however love the small detail at the start of this story, Jesus comes alongside his friends and asks them as they’re walking along what they are talking about.

Jesus walks alongside you by his Spirit and asks the same question today – how will you answer?
