In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
On Sunday mornings my eye is continually caught by the row of sunflowers growing by the wall in the Community Centre grounds, their heads all turned towards the Sun. As the day progresses, thew will bend and turn to find it, always looking his way. I say all of them, there is one that does not, it is drooped and depressed looking, focused on its past, where it has come from, rather than the Sun above. I know which I’d rather be.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. (Psalm 27:4 NIV)
