Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Psalm 51:1-2 (12.03.20)

Psalm 51:1-2 NIV
[1] Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. [2] Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Matthew 14:14 NIV
[14] When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Whether it is our personal need for forgiveness and renewal or a “large crowd” like a nation or world, our God is a God of compassion and he cares what happens. The powerful word of the good news is that Jesus has born our sin and disease and offers new life for anyone who will trust him. Today, Jesus makes a difference – to our life now and the glory to come.

Lord Jesus, help me to live for you, in you and with you in every circumstance today, that I might share your amazing love and compassion with the world you love.
