Ezekiel 43.4-5
[4] The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. [5] Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
After all the misery which Ezekiel has experienced, after the judgement he has warned of, after the isolation of God’s people from their land, the time will come when they are restored. This is God’s plan, to reconcile sinners to himself. Today God’s dwelling is in his people – we are the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6.16). God is here, with us, in us, using us, empowering us, revealing himself through us. What grace!
Lord, we long to be restored to you and to each other, thank you for the promise in Christ that we will be!
