Psalm 23:4-5 (20.05.20)

Psalm 23:4-5 NIV
[4] Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

What is the worst thing we can face? The Valley of the shadow of Death – the darkest most lonely and awful place. But see, even here, the presence of God overwhelms the darkness for Jesus has triumphed over death. In the place of unutterable grief we find the comfort and encouragement of the Good Shepherd who prepares a table in the presence of my enemies – he is with you today!

And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth
(Chorus)
Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You
(Matt Redman)
