Revelation 7.9-10
[9] After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. [10] And they cried out in a loud voice:
‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb’.
They cried out in a loud voice… When I was young I could sing at the top of my voice without getting croaky. But now my voice betrays my age, and sometimes I have to sing falsetto or even just stop and listen while others make the noise. But in Revelation they cry out in a loud voice, not only in this verse, but also in 11.15 and 19.1,3 and 6; and they don’t end up with a frog in their throat! I look forward to being able to sing those endless hallelujahs without getting tired or having to take a break.
Father what a wonderful scene! In anticipation, help us give our all today.
