Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Exodus 8:1-2 (22.07.20)

Exodus 8:1-2 NIV
[1] 8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. [2] If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country.

Pharaoh was not used to hearing from God and hardened his heart so that God had to use really dramatic means to get his attention! This was no friendly relationship – it was the frustration of God with people who choose to ignore the source of every blessing, the hope of the future and the giver of Life. Today, could it be that we ignore God at our peril and he has to speak in dramatic ways to make people aware of him?

Lord, help us to hear your voice and to share your character through these challenging times so that others come to know life in you.
