Who Am I?
On Sunday David led us on a reflection on the question ‘Who am I?’ This week we’re going to continue that, through meditating on 1 Peter 2:9, where Peter explores different facets of our identity.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

I hope this week’s reflections have given you a boost – God has chosen you, called you to be his ambassador, to speak for him, he treasures you and sees you as special. Surely knowing that puts a smile on the face and a spring in the step! But before we fall into the trap of becoming insular and ‘puffed up’ as Paul might put it, Peter reminds us why God chooses us, speaks through us and treasures us – we are the ones through whom all may learn of God’s love and salvation and be invited into relationship with him.

What a God you are, that you should call all into relationship with you, I will declare your greatness today!
