Psalm 122:1-4
1 I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the Lord’s house.”
2 And now we are here,
standing inside the gates of Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalem is a city restored
in beautiful order and harmony.
4 This is where the tribes come,
the tribes of Israel,
to give thanks to the Lord
according to his command.
We have so much to be thankful for, and reflecting back over what God has done for us in the last week is a great way to start a new one. Of course, one of the things we have to be thankful for is each other – it is great that God has called us to be part of his family, part of the ‘tribes’. One of the blessings of being part of this family is that we hear what God is doing amongst everyone else’s lives as well.
Start today by recalling and celebrating God’s goodness over the last week. Has he done something for you that you can share with someone else to encourage them?
