Hebrews 13:7
7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
The fourth quality Dzifa highlighted for leaders is that of earning respect through their actions. We can see this in Jesus can’t we. Time and time again people tried to discredit him but couldn’t because of the quality of his life which backed up his claims. We are all God’s leaders, tasked with leading the people around us to him. People will judge what we say by the quality of our lives as well as our words – why would our words be worth listening to if our lives aren’t worthy?
Spirit, help us to imitate Jesus and those whose lives reflect him in word and deed.
