Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Ephesians 3:10-11,14-15 (14.02.22)

Ephesians 3:10-11,14-15
10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord…14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Let’s make this a day to celebrate and know that we are loved by God.
This week we’re going to continue to think about our church values, and how they’re rooted in Christ. Here in Ephesians, Paul describes how God’s plan was to make his wisdom made known through the church. This of course involves our preaching ‘the Gospel’, informing others of what Jesus has done and inviting them to be a part of it, but as Noel shared on Sunday, this is backed up and supported by the life we live. We will be judged not just by what we say, but by who we are. God wants us to be more than just a mouthpiece for his invitation, his plan is that we reflect his character and values, just as Jesus himself did.

Father, help us to draw near to you so that we may increasingly reflect your character and image to those around us.
