Isaiah 40:30-31 (NIVUK)
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
As the resurrection dramatically shows, God is in the restoration and renewal business, taking that which is weary and worn and making it fresh and complete. This is good news for a Monday which can seem a bit of a downer after the weekend. My prayer is that as you start this new work serving God and neighbour, that you may experience his renewal, giving you strength and enthusiasm!
Lord, on the Monday morning, help us to soar for you!
