2 Kings 7:9 NIV
[9] Then they said to each other, “What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”
This verse is from a brilliant story of how God rescued a city from a siege and some desperate people with leprosy discovered that God had saved them. It took them a few minutes to realise that this was a blessing to share and not just keep for themselves. It’s a bit like the the blessing of knowing Jesus today – it is such good news for the whole world that everyone ought to hear it!
