Isaiah 43:1 (10.10.22)

Isaiah 43:1 (NIVUK)
43 But now, this is what the Lord says –
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

Yesterday we thought about the story of Hagar, Abram and Sarai’s slave through whom Abram has a child, Ishmael. In the midst of her distress, God reaches out to her, seeing her when she thought she was ‘invisible’. He reaches out to us as well, the children he made, has saved and called to himself.

Thank you God that you see us, that we are important and cherished by you, and that in you we can have peace and security.
