2 Chronicles 2:4 (NIVUK)
4 Now I am about to build a temple for the Name of the Lord my God and to dedicate it to him for burning fragrant incense before him, for setting out the consecrated bread regularly, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening and on the Sabbaths, at the New Moons and at the appointed festivals of the Lord our God. This is a lasting ordinance for Israel.
As Solomon set to building the Temple, he was not only establishing that his relationship with God is a priority, he was also establishing a pattern that would encourage the community to see it as a priority too. As we look forward, what can we/you do to make worship a priority in your life and to encourage it to be so in our family as well?
Father, forgive me for those times when I get distracted and fail to orientate my life around you. Help me to develop a healthy, consistent pattern of worship.
