Reading: Psalm 130:3-4

3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,

Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness,

so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Thought for Reflection:

Isn’t it great that when God forgives us that is the end of it. He doesn’t keep a record book to produce when we later mess up again and say that’s the tenth time you’ve done that. When we’re forgiven, we’re forgiven, full-stop.

Prayer:

Father, help us to discover the freedom from knowing the totality of your forgiveness. Help us to forgive ourselves as you do and not carry around unnecessary guilt from the past.
