Serving Jesus in Our Community

Sunday Services

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we held two services on Sunday.

On Sunday mornings we meet at 10.30am at Wormley Community Centre, Fairfield Drive. Our services are informal and lively, with all generations joining in together. After a period of joint worship, our young people leave us for creche, Sunday School and youth activities, joining us again during refreshments after the service. All our young peoples’ workers are DBS checked (police checked). The first Sunday of the month is an All-Age service where we remain together, and the second Sunday features communion. Physical morning services have resumed having been held online during the pandemic.

On Sunday evenings we meet at Wormley Free Church, Slipe Lane at 6pm. This is a more relaxed gathering with a focus on relationships, sharing personal experiences and reflections and discussion. All are welcome, although children aren’t specifically catered for. Currently, evening services remain suspended as we adapt to the return from online services to physical ones.

Service Archives:

Prior to the pandemic, talks were recorded and published in our podcast. We are now looking to livestream our services instead, meaning that videos of our services will become available in our YouTube channel instead.

Our services and other virtual activities from over the pandemic can be found be here.

For a while we maintained a Spotify playlist of new worship songs we were learning.

Our minister has been researching a particular approach to preaching for his DMin through Spurgeon’s College. Sermons preached as part of his research are archived here.
