This week Tim looks at another Old Testament character with us, Jonah.
Reading: Jonah 1:1-2
[1] The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: [2] “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”
Thought for Reflection:
Listening to God is sometimes a bit scary – ask Jonah! We live in a world which has some similarities to Jonah’s; people often have not much time for God and to their (and our) peril ignore him. Imagine being with Jonah when God tells him to go and tell people that there is a better way and that God cares about how they are doing…….. and if they don’t listen they are in trouble………
Prayer:
Lord, the world is a big place and I have a small voice. Help me to remember that with you all things are possible.
