Bible Reading: Acts 3:7-8
7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
Thought for Reflection: Before this life-changing encounter, this man had been stuck on the outside of the Temple; his condition prohibited him from entering the Temple. Everyday he’d sat there, tantalisingly close to meeting with God, but unable to do so until they helped him and walked with him. So often as the church we’ve invited people to come and join us. Perhaps we can learn from Peter and John that our work is not to invite others in but to go out, love and accompany.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus that you stepped into our lives and walked with us into God’s Presence. Who can I accompany on the same journey today?
