Reading: Matthew 6:11 ‘Give us today our daily bread.’
Thought for Reflection: Yesterday we thought about the time when Jesus puts all things right. One of the causes of things not being as they should is our greed and desire for more than we need. Today’s verse reminds us both of God’s wonderful provision for our needs and acts to remind us to be content with enough rather than desiring ever more.
Prayer: Provider, thank you that you give us all that we require – we do not need to worry about our daily bread. Help us to reflect your generosity in sharing what we do have and not taking more than necessary.
