Psalm 140:6-7 NIV
[6] I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy. [7] Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle.
Where does our help come from when things are difficult? It is extraordinary that as we come up to Christmas again we are reminded that our help comes from God – his great plan of salvation – that by coming among us as a baby, as one of us, he can take our sin and give us a new hope and future. He can rescue, deliver, shield and forgive!
Lord Jesus, help us through this time of Advent to turn our hearts to you and to know your power to change lives!
