Serving Jesus in Our Community

Bible Notes

Luke 7:22-23 (15.08.18)

Luke 7:22-23 NIV
[22] So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. [23] Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

Meeting Jesus is good news! Lives are transformed, death is defeated and anyone who trusts him is blest! Every day we can choose to believe it or not but the benefit is clear – “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me”.  That includes us! Trust him for today and all its mountains and find his blessing!

Lord Jesus, we want to trust you always but often forget. Remind us today to look for the good news in action!
