3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 

Everywhere you look is gold, but this is no cheap bling.
This gold is the royal metal.
Precious.
Exquisite.
Of extraordinary value.
And it is on gold and in gold that the angels handle our prayers.
This is how the Lord Almighty sees our prayers.

Thank you Father that you regard our stuttering prayers as beautiful, hearing them with the delight a parent hears their child’s first words. Teach us to value prayer as highly as you do.
