King Ahaz of Judah is in the midst of turbulent times, with Israel and Syria marching on the gates of Jerusalem. Unsurprisingly he has plenty to worry about!
You may not have soldiers marching on your door, but I suspect there are difficult decisions or concerning events that you have to make or deal with this week.
To both Ahaz and us God says, don’t be afraid. Be calm and trust in him.
Lord, it is not always easy to trust in you, so often the visible and immediate cram in instead. Forgive us. Help us to keep you at the forefront of our thoughts instead, making you our security.
