Matthew 18:21-22 NIV
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” [22] Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
To forgive someone seven times sound generous, maybe even a tad foolish, you’re clearly being taken advantage of. But seventy-seven times, that’s ridiculous isn’t it! But that’s the kind of radical forgiveness Jesus calls us to…
…and the kind of forgiveness that he shows us.
Father, teach me to see forgiveness as you see forgiveness, to forgive as you forgive.
