Leviticus 19:33-34
33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
Knowing what it is like to be ‘the stranger’ means we can emphasis to others who find themselves in that situation, whether that means literally those from other countries living amongst us, or those who are different for other reasons. With that insight, how do we respond?
Father help us live by your Son’s saying, ‘in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you’ (Mt. 7:12)
