This Sunday Evening there won’t be a service at Wormley Free Church so that folks can attend the local hustings as put on by Churches Together. Here’s their press release:
Churches Together in Broxbourne are running a hustings event to which all local candidates for the current parliamentary election have been invited.
The event will be held at St Catherine and St Pauls Church (Hoddesdon Parish Church) Pauls Lane, Hoddesdon EN11 on Sunday 1st December at 7.30pm. Doors will open at 7.00pm.
Ben Quant, minister at Wormley Free Church, said “As one of the key community groups in the area, it has been the privilege of Churches Together to host a hustings whenever a general election has been called.
When this year’s was announced, a group of us quickly came together to see if we could respond under the seasonal and shorter than usual time constraints, believing that this is a good way in which we can serve the Borough.”
Those intending to attend the hustings are invited to submit a question to the panel in advance. This can be done via email to: hustings@cthbw.org.uk. or when the doors open at 7pm.

I was looking for weeks for info on local hustings. Three days notice isn’t much. Was this recorded at all and available to watch online?

Hi Catherine,
Sorry you were unable to make it – it was only a few days before the event that the pieces fell into place and we could announce that it was happened, that’s the trouble with snap elections! I may know someone who took some videos. If you like, I could pass your email address and query on to them. Let me know.
