Philippians 4:9 NIV
[9] Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Paul wanted the Philippians to be practical in their life of faith – not just let nice theories be their aim but to allow the living power of the Lord Jesus to transform their lives in the way that Paul’s life had been. Paul was in prison and had been through all kinds of trials yet he can say “practice what I have told you and God, the God of peace, will be with you!” Let’s read God’s word and put it into practice – then we will know the peace of God which is so different from anything the world has on offer!!!!!
When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
