Luke 15:8-10 (17.08.20)

Luke 15:8-10 (The MSG)
“Or imagine a woman who has ten coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and scour the house, looking in every nook and cranny until she finds it? And when she finds it you can be sure she’ll call her friends and neighbours: ‘Celebrate with me! I found my lost coin!’ Count on it—that’s the kind of party God’s angels throw every time one lost soul turns to God.”

The sense of relief at finding something you thought you’d lost and needed. It’s wonderful isn’t it! A lost ticket, wallet, or phone – we’ve all been there.
As a parent I also think of times when our children were little and momentarily they’d wondered off and I couldn’t see them. A horrible feeling. But how astonishingly wonderful it is when you find them!
This short parable tells us these feelings are just glimpses of how God feels when we come back to him.

Father, did I grasp that right. Are we your good news? To know that we are loved that much by you is almost incomprehensible!

Ps. Don’t forget to pray for and promote the Alpha Course…
