Luke 10:5-7
5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
I wonder what this looks like today? I announcing ‘peace to this house’ may get you strange looks now! Perhaps there’s something here about praying for those we meet and pass by each day, and being open for opportunities to chat with them or build a relationship.
Chances are at some point today you’ll find yourself in a queue or with a group of people. Take the chance to pray for them one by one, asking God to bless them and be at work in their lives. As you pray look out for the chance to simply say hello to one of them, and see where that simple greeting takes you.
