1 John 3:11
11 For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
Last week’s notes and thoughts began with the astonishing verse that this chapter begins with: ‘See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!…’ (1 John 3:1) This week begins with an equally profound message outlining the ethical foundation of our faith, how we should live, the command to love one another. God loves us, therefore we should love each other. Hold onto these two concepts and you won’t go far wrong!
Teach us Spirit to love with a love that reflects the lavish love that God has poured on us.
