Colossians 2.6-9
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him.
The fundamental truth concerning the person of Jesus, which is denied by so many false cults, is that the physical body of Jesus is home to God himself – ‘in him the whole fulness of deity dwells bodily’. Note that ‘dwells’ is present tense – God in a body is alive in heaven today! Don’t let anyone lead you astray from this basic truth, even if their deceit is couched in philosophical logic, or appeals to tradition for its authority, or sounds like natural instinct.
MEEKNESS AND MAJESTY,
Manhood and Deity,
In perfect harmony,
The Man who is God.
Lord of eternity
Dwells in humanity,
Kneels in humility
And washes our feet.
O what a mystery,
Meekness and majesty.
Bow down and worship
For this is your God,
This is your God.
