Revelation 21:3-5 (03.01.22)

Revelation 21:3-5 NIV
[3] And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. [4] ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” [5] He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

As we come into a new year (how are the resolutions doing?) it is sometimes good to think of some new projects – fresh vision and ideas, a renewing and invigorating start.
God gives us a great hope of a day when everything will be made new – the sad, old tired bits which have served their time will pass away and we will have a new relationship with God – no more mourning or crying or pain – no more virus or lockdown but freedom and joy! Sounds nice doesn’t it?

Lord you are the God of Hope and we pray that you will fill your people with hope through this new year so that Jesus is glorified and others come to know him.
